Currently using Guatemalan (SHB) beans, Italian is our Darkest Roast; known for its smokey, strong flavor, yet without any bitterness. Only a master roaster can achieve this darkest of roasts. The beans are roasted beyond the usual stages causing them to develop their unique, smokey flavor. Roasting them a second longer would burn the coffee. The Italian Roast’s strength is a delicate acquisition. The result is a distinctive cup of syrupy texture, hints of spice, and a licorice finish. Our Italian is preferred for making authentic espresso due to its rich and bold flavor mixed with a well-balanced aroma.
